March, Media and Moving All Around
/Me and Riley, my temporary Rez dog climbing a mountain in Tl’etinqox territory, BC
Too much of this book business has got me craving long walks and mountain hikes and naturing. There have a been countless hours in front of my laptop answering emails, I get it, this is a part of what work looks like these days.
But do I accept that?
Can work look more like play? Can the forest be my office some days? I'm making a public (hi public) written (as in right now) promise to do what needs to be done, but also be hyper-creative about the ways I can get outside. Ironically enough I was on Instagram today actually scrolling on some accounts of people who farm and I was like..."ah how refreshing" but also, I am naturing through the screen. What's that all about?
Yes its spring and warming up, so I imagine that will help. I hear my own voice best when I am outdoors. But bottomline, life is too short to write emails all day. Maybe, if it's possible for you, even for 15 minutes to step away from the screen and bath in some sky-time instead of screen-time.
Let me know if you get a chance to try it out. I'll report back to y'all. In the meanwhile, enjoy the vernal equinox.
